The new laws about vibration in the workplace (especially from hand-tools) put many bodyshops at risk of being fined by the Health and Safety Executive. There is also the risk of injury to the staff.
Making the operative provide his own tools does not get around the law, the bodyshop owner or manager has a duty of care to ensure his staff work safely.

If the tools are the correct tools for the job, the productivity would also increase. Cutting the new High Strength Steel is hard to do especially if you want an accurate result.

Preparing the new panel for welding requires accurate cutting and when you are preparing for MIG Brazing you need to cut the panels with a 1mm gap. To do this easily requires a high speed saw with very little vibration.

24tpi For cutting multi-layers of metal up to 4mm thick
