Aluminium Welding
At Wielander and Schill UK Ltd, we have chosen the Merkle PU 280K welder. Manufactured in Germany, it is a quality product capable of giving the best results at all times.

It has been programmed to be able to work specifically on cars. It is perfectly capable of working on thin body panels as well as thick cast Aluminium chassis. Being automatic, the wire speed will adjust itself for each new job.

Changing the wire and making a simple adjustment to the settings means it can be used on steel, galvanised metal or aluminium as well as on thick chassis or thin body panels.

In addition to MIG welding steel panels, or when working on aluminium, the Merkle PU280K can also be used for copper brazing and TIG welding.

The welder can be supplied with or without the stand. The stand is a robust steel frame that can be easily moved around and is capable of carrying two gas bottles. You will need one bottle of pure Argon when welding aluminium and one for Argoshield when MIG welding.
